The first thing you will learn in this course is a deeper understanding of the fretboard that allows you to break out of memorized scale drawings and truly express your OWN musical ideas anywhere on the fretboard. This new vision of the fretboard is much easier to learn than traditional scale drawings, but it's also vastly more powerful.
We will also explore improvising over all seven chords of the major scale, which are the foundation of all modern popular music. In each of these harmonic environments you will learn to improvise your OWN melodies in a way that truly connects your ear to your instrument. You'll even learn to improvise your own chord voicings on the guitar just as easily as you can improvise melody lines, and you'll learn to weave these chord voicings effortlessly into your solos.
You do not need to know anything at all about music theory to begin, and you don't need to be able to read sheet music. This course will give you a solid foundation in both harmony and improvisation on the guitar that will serve you for the rest of your life.
The total lesson time of this course is about 5 hours and 30 minutes. The course is divided into 18 lessons which are all approximately 15 to 20 minutes in length. Each lesson introduces the next level of the method, including step-by-step demonstrations and playing examples on the guitar. The lessons are accompanied by jam tracks that let you practice improvising in a real musical setting.
